Excel Facts

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
Another option...
If the cell you wanted to "split" were A1, in another cell you could use:
=RIGHT(A1,FIND(" ",A1)-1)

Hope it helps,
Dan

Assuming the list of two words are in column A.

Copy column A into column B and column C.
Do a find & replace on column B, finding *space replacing with nothing.
Find & replace on column C, finding space*, replacing with nothing

Does that make sense?
