Hello Folks,

I have a spreadsheet of addresses that was created as a CSV file. In Column E the addresses have been formulated as follows: House number and road, Area, Town, County, Post code

E.g. 121 High Street, Downtown, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX7 9HD

How can I 'split' this column so that at each comma a new column is used. If the comma can also be removed great but if not it should stay with the preceding day i.e. 121 High Street,.

How may I achieve this, please? As always, your help will be invaluable.

Mel

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Have you tried Data > Text to Columns, Delimited with comma as the delimiter.
