Hi,

I am trying to write a formula to split revenue out by date. I have a cell with a revenue value and an contract start date and end date. I then have a series of columns each with a header of a calendar month over several years. I want to write a formula that will sit under the monthly column headings that will say if the contract start date falls in the month of the column hearder and is less than the contract end date then return the revenue value divided by 12 to see the monthly recognised mount. I'm not sure if I have explained that very well but can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi,

A2 is contract start date, for example 15/08/2008, B2 is the contract end date (=A2+364), C2 is the total contract value, say £12000. I then have a series of columns with date headers starting August 2008 in D1, then September 2008, in E2 and so on. In cell D2 I want the formula to split the revenue to show a one twelth portion in that cell, and every other cell within the contract period, if the column header falls out of the annual contract range, say Oct 2009, then I want it to return the value zero.

Does that help?
