Splitting Y axis for high number

I am trying to do a chart that has 10 years of data, (e.g. how many fish caught in years 1990 - 2000) however, one of the years...1990, we had 20 fold fish caught. When I put that high number in, it makes the other ones too small. I would like to split that one bar off, so the other ones can be read more easily. Is there a way to break the y axis in Excel?

You can try that by hiding that particular row or column !

That would be ok, however would like to show all years, so really don't want to hide any data.



The Y axis are just number of fish i.e.

(numbers in left column represent number of fish caught that year)

Don't want to lose data...but merely show a break in Y axis to show that high number year but have the lower numbers years respectable height!

Choose a logarithmic scale for the y-axis.
That should do it.
