spreadsheet freezes

Hi... I've got another prob I may as well post here too.

I've got a spreadsheet and it freezes up whenever I want to do anything for about 3 seconds.

What I mean is that if I do a copy and paste, I hit copy... it hangs for 3 secs then allows me to move to another cell and then hit paste, and it hangs another 3 secs.

Can anyone help with this.. Note that I have autocalculate OFF.

Please provide some details on your spreadsheet.

Do you have any macros in this spreadsheet?

Do you have a lot of data and/or formulas on this spreadsheet?

Yes I have a lot of formulas and a few macros in the spreadsheet. It's about 2 MB in size... multiple sheets.. any of that help?

Do you have any worksheet event macros? If so, could you post them?

Other than that, it sounds like you have a pretty big file there. I'm no expert when it comes to hardware, but a file that size may cause delays depending on your processor speed and RAM.

So you may need to reduce the file size a bit, or upgrade your processor or RAM if you want to improve efficiency.

I would have an IT person check your system out and see what they recommend (like I said, I don't know a whole lot about hardware -- so don't take my word for it!).
