I am working on a fairly complex chart with about 10 horizontal "bands" generated by stacked area plots. It also has a couple of line plots that are the actual data. These are displayed on top of the bands. Each band has a different fill color so I can easily tell where the data points fall in the various ranges.

This all works great except for one detail. The stacked area plots keep losing the fill settings. I carefully set each band to "Solid fill" with a different color. Sometime later, if I go back to change any of those colors, I find that all of the fill settings have been changed to "Automatic". The colors have not changed, but if I select Solid fill again, the color is some random (as far as I can tell) color.

What am I doing wrong?
