Hi There,

I am trying to build out a waterfall chart for year over year performance by Category by Retailer. A stacked waterfall would do the trick but I can't seem to find out how to make one in excel without using an add on. Can anyone help me out?

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
I have a tutorial for regular waterfall charts: Excel Waterfall Charts (Bridge Charts). If you use the stacked column approach, a stacked waterfall has multiple items per category. If you can make it work with one set of values, you should be able to add one or more extra series to stack on the first.

I also make one of those add-ins ;).
