This has probably been posted before, but I can't seem to find an answer, and it's driving me crazy.
Excel has stopped starting in full screen mode, what setting do I need to make to get Excel to start in full screen mode again?>

Excel Facts

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Try
Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Application.DisplayFullScreen = True
Application.CommandBars("Full Screen").Visible = False
End Sub

My thing is, I never had to put code in to get Excel to start in full screen mode, it doesn't seem right to do it now!!!
The code may force the issue, but there must be another reason why Excel does not start in full screen mode when it used to without code, this is the part that's driving me crazy

The full screen setting is application wide so should be retained when you've set it in the view tab. If any spreadsheet you have used changes the setting though then that change is retained.

I've tried that, but it does not retain the full screen mode when setting it to full screen, when you restart excel again it start in quarter size!!

I tried that this afternoon, sadly to no avail,
I've also tried the repair function, that never worked either.

I'm wondering if a uninstall, and reinstall might work. might be the answer.

However does anyone know where Microsoft keeps its files for the Quick Access tool bars, as I have a lot of icons added to the quick access toolbar. and the thought of manually replacing them one by one leaves me cold

Hi Colleen,

Were you ever able to solve the mystery of Excel not starting in full screen mode? I think I now have this problem!
