Static and Dynamic Links

Hi all,

I have an Excel file that has hundred of links in it. It comprises static and dynamic links. When I converted this sheet to PDF, I noticed that the static links (the ones that begin with “https://”) work. The dynamic links (the one with no HTTPS but may have something like “Big Brooklyn Loaves”) do not work.

How can I change all the dynamic links to static links within the Excel document before I convert to PDF.? Or is there a better way of doing this?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Frank.

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
If the dynamic links don't have the HTTPS protocol and they appear to be just words, what exactly is it that they're linking to?
And when you say dynamic, do you mean that there is some kind of formula that is building the destination address to wherever/whatever the hyperlink is linking to? If so, could you possibly provide some examples (of the formula, the intended destionation, etc)?

Cross-posting (posting the same question in more than one forum) is not against our rules, but the method of doing so is covered by #13 of the Forum Rules.

Be sure to follow & read the link at the end of the rule too!

If you have posted the question at more places, please provide links to those as well.

If you do cross-post in the future and also provide links, then there shouldn’t be a problem.

Aww this is no fun. It's not very sporting. If you're going to have different forums compete like this, you should at least give us the same information.

How come that forum gets (1) the detailed and useful summary, and (2) the underlying data, and we don't? (Maybe you thought they needed the headstart and that we didn't...?) Whatever the case, I demand a rematch! :)
