I have a macro which isn't working, and I know which part isn't working properly. Before I get to that point, there is a lot of mundane clearing out to do. If I used the Step into/Through function (Cmd/Shift/I in my case) there is a lot of key depressions (in the hundreds) before I get to the part that isn't working properly.

What I was wondering is there any code that stops/restarts the macro running and forces the user to use the Step into/Through function. This would enable me to watch the programme running at my pace which would will enable me to see where the problem is.

Thanks

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
You can put a breakpoint on a line of your choice & run the macro and it will stop at the breakpoint.
To set a breakpoint select the line you want it to stop on & press F9 (on windows at least) or from the debug menu.
