Stop a Macro while it’s running

Hi

Please can someone tell me how I can stop a macro running in Excel 2010. In older versions, like 2003 and 2007, I could do 'Ctrl Break' and it would stop the code and present me with a message box asking if I would like to either 'Cancel', 'Debug' or 'Stop'. This doesn't happen in 2010. The screen goes grey and then crashes. Is this problem just specific to me or is there something I am missing?

I await your feedback and abuse to an otherwise seemingly obvious thing.

Cheers

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
CTRL+Break will still halt code execution in Excel 2010, so you probably have an underlying issue. Does Excel crash when you do other things, or just this?
