Hello all,

I'm trying to stop =SUM(E16:H16)-SMALL(E16:H16,1) from displaying a #NUM! error in cell I17 when there is no data in E16 F17 G17 or H17

I have tried adding =IF(E16:H16=0," ", to the beginning, but that gets me a #NAME? error in I17

This version of the initial formula =IF(E14="","",(SUM(E14+F14+G14+H14)-SMALL(E14+F14+G14+H14,1))) gets me a #VALUE! error in I17

What I would like is for I17 to display nothing when there is no data in E16 F17 G17 or H17, but run the -SMALL formula when there is.

Is this possible, please?

Cheers,

Ben

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
How about
Excel Formula:
=iferror(SUM(E16:H16)-SMALL(E16:H16,1),"")
