Dear Mr Excel,

We are setting up a spreadsheet using "If" logical Vaule. We wish to compare two numerical 20 figure serial numbers to ensure they equal, using the following formula =IF(B7=D7,"MATCHED","QC FAILED").

Seems to work correctly but when scanning the serial number in to excel (for eg. 89441000302543556302) it is automatical coverted to the following 89441000302543500000.

How can I stop excel rounding up? :help::help:

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
Excel will only display numbers to 15 significant digits. Try formatting the cells as Text before entering the numbers or precede them with an apostrophe
