I have a pivot chart which tracks a count per quarter over a bunch of years. Some of the quarterly values are zero so i edited the field settings so that zeroes are displayed.. The problem this brings about is that it sets future counts to 0 also. i.e the pivot chart shows data for q3 and q4 2020 even though my dataset doesnt have q3 2020 data and q4 2020 data. I only have data up to Q2 2020 but now Q3 and Q4 contain 0 values.

How can I remove these last two data points (Q3 and Q4 2020) from my table/chart while retaining the other zero values that are legitimate?

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
