Hi,

I have a straight forward enough question but can't seem to find a straight forward way of doing it.

In short, I have a Pivot Table based on a list showing say, Sales person, product category and quantity ordered. I set up a pivot table showing product category and sum of quantity ordered.

I have unchecked (Show all) on the product category as I only want to see the results of certain product categories - I select just those categories I want to see. This works great and the Pivot table shows only the product categories that I have selected.

Problem, a new product category is added to the underlying data - as happens from time to time. However, rather than the pivot table ignoring it as I have specifically not included it, it takes the view that I have not specifically excluded so it must now show it. Well, I could not have excluded it before as it was not there to exclude so a little weird.

So, does anyone know how I have have a pivot table only show those items that I have specifically included such that any new items added will not be included by default.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Milo
