Stop Notification Noise

Hi All,

Does anyone know how to turn off the volume of the notification for Message Box Input Box in Microsoft excel (and Office generally)?

The noise it brings is incredibly annoying.

I would like to just see the notification without hearing the noise or having to turn my computer volume off.

You can turn off the default beep and critical stop sounds for your current sound scheme in the windows control panel

I don't know a setting, but Excel plays 'Windows Ding.wav' which for me is in C:\Windows\Media. I renamed it and the sound disappeared.

it worked but I just thought of something. Rather than using MsgBox, is there a way to use a shape or picture art to pop up with the message I intend to convey, that way I don't have to touch my sound settings

I have never used a shape or pictures or any other form of pop ups in vba and I'll rather not start the guessing game again. Has anyone tried this before?
