Hello folks - i'm using excel 97 and use the spreadsheets even for programming at times. I've discovered that when you drop text that is html, it automatically converts it renders it. I'd like to leave the html as it is in the cells so i can use spreadsheet functions to alter it.

Anyone, anyone?

Thanks
Chris

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
Well, got an answer in the ms gnl excel news group, turns out you have to either use a tic mark at the beginning of each line or use word proc to global out the "<" and replace it w/ "<<<", bring it into excel, do the processing, then, global 'em back out. works great
