Data:
The D13.... Is in a column; The 1,2,... are in the next column

D13S456 1
D13S457
D13S458
D13S459
D13S460
D13S456 2
D13S457
D13S458
D13S459
D13S460
D13S456 3
D13S457
D13S458
D13S459
D13S460
D13S456 4
D13S457
D13S458
D13S459
D13S460
D13S456 5
D13S457
D13S458
D13S459
D13S460
D13S456 6
D13S456 7
D13S456 8
D13S457
D13S458
D13S459
D13S460
D13S456 9
D13S457
D13S458
D13S455

I need to search this string for an exact text match "D13S456". When that is found, I need to copy it(D13S456) and the number next to it (1) to a new sheet. I then need to proceed down the column, finding the next "D13S456", copying it and it's (2) to the row below the previously copied and pasted one. So the new worksheet should look like this:

D13S456 1
D13S456 2
D13S456 3
D13S456 4
D13S456 5
D13S456 6
D13S456 7
D13S456 8
D13S456 9

I have very long (over 2000 entries) strings of data to look at, and this would help greatly!

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Could you not just use Data>AutoFilter or Advanced Filter...?
