Hi guys, strange though it may sound I'm looking for a way to slow down the speed at which a macro executes so that in effect the user can see each step and understand the progression of my calculations. Anyone have any thoughts on how this could be done?

Don't have any code at the ready, but most likely it would involve API GetTickCount, being called by a simple routine that accepts a Long argument (for thousandths of seconds).

Some sort of delay routine, regardless.

Or, the program could wait for keyboard input. Perhaps AnyKey being depressed, to step-through.

try this;

newHour = Hour(Now())
newMinute = Minute(Now())
newSecond = Second(Now()) + 4 'change
waitTime = TimeSerial(newHour, newMinute, newSecond)
Application.Wait waitTime

If it's not too many steps, why not just pop up a message box at key points, and you could even use the text to direct the user to certain cells.
