Strange Problem!

Seems simple, but I do not know the answer to this one.

I am using a sheet which is used by several people so this may be a self-inflicted problem. The calcs have worked fime for the last year, now this is what happens:-

I have a formula in a cell which calculates a date from a date entry in another cell =IF(COUNTBLANK(H1169),"",H1169-4). When I now enter a date in Cell H1169 the date (where the formula is), is not entered upon hitting the Return Key, but if I save the file and then re-open the sheet the correct dates are there.

As a simple test on the same sheet if I enter say 5 in CELL A2000 and 6 in CELL A2001, then = A2000+A2001 in CELL B2000, I get exactly the same problem, a blank cell when hitting Return.

I am sure its a setting option on the top toolbar somewhere, can someone please help me with this one.

Thanks Ed

Following on is there any way I can LOCK the Options selection on the toolbar, (and maybe other area's as well). Maybe Password Protect.

Thanks Ed
