From a monthly extract I have a series of dates that include the time in their entry e.g. 23/09/2006 09:01

Is there a simple way that I can strip the time element off of these dates and use just the date element of the cell. MAsking the date to dd/mm/yyy does not do as I requires as the time is still considered when I analyse dates in a pivot table.

Thanks
Andy

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
