I'm attempting to work through the chapters of the PowerPivot book but I'm having trouble locating the data that's referenced.

I've downloaded the sample spreadsheets but can't find a number of items - for instance in chapter 5, the Invoice, Rep and State tables that are mentioned at the start of the chapter don't appear to exist.

Maybe I'm just missing something here?

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney

I am having the same problem. The examples don't match the book and I am stuck on chapter 5. May I please have the spreadsheets that follow the book? I am using this for a class on Friday. Must have it immediately!!! Thanks!

There were 2 files for Chapter 5 and 8 files for Chapter 6 in the set of files that I downloaded.
If you don't have them, I suggest that you download again into a different folder and compare the file names. Details of where you can download the files will be found at the beginning of Chapter 2.
I agree that the book does not state which file is relevant for a particular subject but I guess that this may be added in the next re-print.
I would suggest that you open each file in turn and make a note of all the headings (perhaps copy/paste to another workbook) to make it easier to match the datasets to the chapters.

I see one file for chapter 5 and no files for chapter 6 at the web addresss listed in the book:

The download All Files zipped file contains fewer files than this list. There are no files for either chapter 5 or for chapter 6.

BTW... there is a difference between anger and panic.

We are talking about two different books here.
You added your post, which is about "Pivot Table Data Crunching for Excel 2007" to that originated on the subject of "PowerPivot for the Data Analyst" - which is new at Excel 2010.
If you need to get further help on this you need to start a new post.
However, looking at Chapter 6, in the book that you have, I would guess that the data can be found in the Chapter 3b file (Sample Dataset that has 68,614 rows of data). It is likely that examples in some chapters use data created/available in earlier chapters.
