I have a list of part numbers (about 30,000) and a list of prices with them. I'm trying to construct a graph with cost along the y axis and the part numbers along the x axis so I can show a standard bell curve. Unfortunately excel seems to be conspiring against me! help please!

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
To show a bell curve you would need to have cost along the x (horizontal) axis and No of parts (at each price.price range) along the y axis. You also need to summarize your data so that it is in a form that excel can graph:

Price No of Parts
£1 2
£2 5
£3 13

etc etc
You could do this using a pivot table and then create your chart from that.

Ok I've got every part number categorised as A, B or C (A = under £100, B=£100 to £1000, C= over £1000) but I still can't get this to graph??
