I want a formula that will count the values of every A grade student. So if the COUNTIF formula counts every time an "A" appears in one column how do I get it to mutiply that by the scores of those A grade students in another column?

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Welcome to the board...

Try the SUMIF Function

=SUMIF(A:A,"A",B:B)

That sums column B for every row that has an "A" in column A.

Hope that helps.
