Hi All,

A friend has just phoned me with a corker of a question.

Is there a way to link ranes of cells in excel? What I mean is if he has data on say flight information and stores each flight on a seperate row, is there a way he can link the outbound flight to the return journey so that no matter what the sort criteria, the outbound and the return leg of any given flight will always appear one above the other?

He does ot want to put both legs of any given flight in the same row.

He (and I) would very much appreciate your help on this one!

Thanks

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Why don't you add another column and sequentially number it, ensuring that Departure & Return flights are next to each other?

Thanks - I had thought that was a good idea too but he pointed out that he would not be sorting on the flight id alone - for example, he might sort on the destination, which would of course seperate the two sequential numbers. obviously, he could write a complicated macro but I was hoping to keep it to formulas so would really appreciate any more ideas.

Thanks again!

Add another sequential column again.

One column sequential Departure
One column Sequential Destination
One Column ID Number
etc
