I am trying to write a formula where it only counts cells with text value and return "1" and ignores the blank cells. all the cells in this column have formulas.

I have tried using the SUBTOTAL formula with ISTEXT such as this: =IF(ISTEXT(C6),(SUBTOTAL(103,C6)),"0") But this is not working out for me.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
How about
Excel Formula:
=--(AND(ISTEXT(C6),C6<>""))
