I would like to know whether is it possible to create a input box that prompts user to select a set of cell reference range. Thereafter, the range selected will be used to calculate the subtotal.

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Paste this into a module. When ran it will prompt you to select a range. It then passes the sum of that range to cell A1 (you can change to your linking).

Code:
Sub Get_Rng_Address()
    Dim rAddress As Range, strAddress As String
    Dim SFormula As String
    Set rAddress = Application.InputBox("Select Range", Type:=8)
    strAddress = rAddress.Address
    Range("A1").Value = "=SUM(" & strAddress & ")"
End Sub
