Hello - I am using the subtotal formula to average a range of data. My data is getting skewed because of the zero's in the column. Is there a way to keep the zero's but to write the formula to subtotal values greater than zero only?

To get the average of column B and exclude the 0 values...

=SUBTOTAL(9,B6:B21)/SUMPRODUCT(SUBTOTAL(2,OFFSET(B6:B21,ROW(B6:B21)-ROW(B6),0,1)),--(B6:B21<>0))

As you can see, it's not exactly simple! :)

Or, maybe...

=AVERAGE(IF(SUBTOTAL(9,OFFSET(B6:B21,ROW(B6:B21)-ROW(B6),0,1))>0,B6:B21))

...confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER.

Also with newer versions of excel ( I think since 2007... maybe earlier)
you can use Averageif

=Averageif(A1:A100,">0")

Control+shift+enter, not just enter:

    IF(ISNUMBER(A5:A600),IF(A5:A600>0,A5:A600))))
Adjust the range to suit.
