Subtract 6 months from a date

I have a list of expiration dates. When it gets to be within 3 months of this expiration date, I'd like it to highlight or something. I am guessing I can use conditional formatting with a formula, but I can't figure out the formula. Can someone help?

=TODAY()-A1 < 90
