Hey yall.

If Cell A1 contains a balance of "300," how would I write the formula so that all numbers I place in A2, A3, etc... will change A1 to countdown accordingly?

Example:

A1 = 300
Then,
B1 = 1, which turns A1 into a value reading of 299

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.

You would need to put a formula in A1.

Something like

=300-SUM(A2:A1000)

Where A1000 would be a range far enough down to cover all your entries
