Hello all,

Does anyone have any suggestions re: hotkeys for a custom toolbar? I'm thinking I should stay away from Ctrl+anything because I don't want to accientally shadow a Microsoft shortcut. I was thinking about using Ctrl+Shift+whatever but wondered if anyone out there has a strong preference for some other combination.

Thanks in advance for any ideas and/or suggestions!

Hi,

Tools
Macro
Record New Macro

(For this example, you can choise whatever you want)
Shortcut key: Ctrl+Shift+M
Ok.

Then do something on sheet...

Stop Recording.

ALT+F11

In my example:

Code:
Sub Macro1()
'
' Macro2 Macro
' Macro recorded 20/10/2006 by Erdinç E. Karaçam
'
' Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+M
    Range("B1").Select
End Sub

Change the Macro1:

Code:
Sub Macro1()
'
' Macro4 Macro
' Macro recorded 20/10/2006 by Erdinç E. Karaçam
'
' Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+M
'
    On Error GoTo Show
    Application.CommandBars.Add(Name:="MyToolBar2").Visible = True
Show:
    Application.CommandBars("MyToolBar2").Visible = True
End Sub

Then return to Excel and press the Ctrl+Shift+M key combination.

Take it easy.
