Hi,

I have a table with dates in the A2:A100 and Names in B1:I1 and then amounts in all the below cells. I would like a formula that can lookup to find which column the name is in and then sum the amounts between two dates. it sounds very easy but I cant figure it out.

thanks

=SUMIFS(INDEX($B$2:$I$100,0,MATCH("leeroyb",$B$1:$I$1,0)),$A$2:$A$100,">="&date1,$A$2:$A$100,"<="&date2)

where date1 <= date2.
