Hi, Quick question;

I have a name that I'm referencing in column G655 for a drop down list used in the spreadsheet. I want to summarize all the transactions associated with the name in column H655, based on the range of data in Column AN, rows 11 to 655, only if the name matches what's in Column AS for the same row.

How would this be constructed in a formula, or would I need to use a macro instead?

I appreciate any help.

If I follow you correctly, are you looking for a SUMIF?

=SUMIF($AS$11:$AS$654,H655,$AN$11:$AN$654)

Assuming I understand correctly that:
H655 contains the name you're trying to summarize
AS11:AS654 contains names you're hoping to match to H655
AN11:AN654 contains the data you want to sum

You also might try using a Pivot Table.
