Sum Formula Needs To Skip 1 Row

Hello everyone,

I need help with creating a formula for work. I'm trying to add the values in colum K but not all the lines. It needs to skip 1 row at a time.

This is my current formula:

=K8+K10+K12+K14+K16+K18+K20+K22

I noticed if I add a few rows between K8 and K22 they don't get added to the formula. Is there a way to automatically add the newly added rows to the formula without doing it manually?

You could add a collumn next to the collumn with the numbers you want added and use an iseven (or isodd) formula, then sumif based on results of that...

collumn a
#s you want added

collumn b
=iseven(row()) OR
=isodd(row())

Then your sumif formula will be based off of collumn B
=sumif(B:B,TRUE,A:A)

That looks perfect!

Although I can't add anything to the column next to it cause those columns are trying to perform the same action.

You could put that in ANY collumn - say furthes to the right in your sheet...
say that is collumn Z for example

collumn z =iseven(row())

now your sumif would be
=sumif(Z:Z,TRUE,A:A)

In fact, you could even put the iseven function on another sheet altogeter...
Say you put the iseven function on Sheet2 collumn A and the #s you want counted are on Sheet 1 Collumn A

=SUMIF(Sheet2!A:A,TRUE,Sheet1!A:A)
