If I have an array with the columns header as dates from Jan thru Dec, and I want the =sum formula in the Total to pick up a date variable (from say cell A1 = Aug), how do I write the sum formula in the Total column summing only Aug thru Dec?

Grateful for any help

Assuming that D1:O1 contains the headers, Jan through Dec, and D2:O2 contains the corresponding values, try...

=SUM(INDEX($D$2:$O$2,MATCH(A1,$D$1:$O$1,0):$O$2)

Hope this helps!
