Background:
For my work we have multiple projects. Each project gets assigned a developer tocode the work. A developer can havemultiple projects assigned to them. The assigned developer is required toestimate their dev time prior to starting.

Each project is given a row in our excel tracker. Each project row has multiple columns totrack different data. The existingcolumns that effect my end goal are

A) Project Status
B) Assigned Developer
C) Estimated Development Hours

Goal:
I’d like to be able to show a grand total of hours eachdeveloper has across all projects that meet the following conditions:

1) Project Status = Development
2) Assigned Developer = Their name

Example:
Project Status AssignedDeveloper Estimated Dev Hours
Project 1 Development Joe 10
Project 2 Development Joe 15
Project 3 Development Jane 5
Project 4 Testing John 7

Desired Outcome:
Developer ActiveDevelopment Hours
Joe 25
Jane 15
John 0

The development manager then has the ability to knowhow many hours of development a developer has in their que in deciding how toassign new work.

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Welcome to the forums insomnia,

Sounds like you could do this by using a pivot table...? You should google/youtube how to use them.

If after learning about them you realize that they are not what you're looking for (but I think it could be), then let us know.
