Good afternoon, I am not terribly experienced with Excel and cannot understand why the sum if formula of =SUMIF($O$11:$O$17,"COMP TIME",$M$11:$N$17) is not calculating the sum of both columns M and N when the word COMP TIME is filled in column O, it only pulls the sum of column M. If I change that formula to =SUMIF($O$11:$O$17,"COMP TIME",$N$11:$N$17) then it calculates only the sum of column N (which makes sense to me) but it needs to calculate both column M and N for any amount of time that is designated comp time and return that total in cell M32. My guess is that due to my inexperience that I have not written the formula correctly and that's why it will not sum to 2 columns that it needs to look at and that it is probably a simple fix. If anyone can assist, I would appreciate it.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Try

Excel Formula:
=SUMPRODUCT(($O$11:$O$17="Comp Time")*$M$11:$N$17)

Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
You cannot use sumifs like that, try
Excel Formula:
=SUMPRODUCT(($O$11:$O$17="COMP TIME")*($M$11:$N$17))
