# Sum Query

Sorry if this is an obvious question.

In column 'A' I have a list of some 1000+ values.

I would like to be able to add all of the cells in this column that are between certain values.

So if D1 was £1101 and D2 was £3400, how can I add all of the values in Column A together that are between these figures?

### Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},\$Z\$1:\$Z\$99,\$Y\$1:\$Y\$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.

Welcome to the board!

One option would be
Code:
``=sumproduct(--(A1:A1000>D1),--(A1:A1000<D2),A1:A1000)``

Welcome to the Mr Excel board!

Try this if you want to include D1 & D2 values in the sum:
=SUMIF(A:A,">="&D1)-SUMIF(A:A,">"&D2)

Or this if you want to exclude D1 & D2 values from the sum:
=SUMIF(A:A,">"&D1)-SUMIF(A:A,">="&D2)
