SUM question

I've got a column with numbers in it which we keep adding new rows to the bottom of.

On a different sheet I want to sum every 7 rows (a weeks worth)

So

9

1
1
2
8
6

on the other sheet I use the formula SUM(A1:A7)

to save me having to type in the new formula every week I want to be able to automate the weekly totals but if I drag the week total down the page the next value is SUM(A2:A8) when I need it to be SUM(A8:A14).

There is about 2000 days of data, thats why it needs to be automated.

Assuming you enter your formula in B1 for the first week then:

=SUM(OFFSET($A$1:$A$7,(row()-1)*7,0))
