Sum Question

i want to have a table with 100 entries with scores of 10 people names and all the scores of them end i want to have in a cell the fisrt score of a player and in another cell the second score of the player and so on for all the matches he made.

example:

misterA 1
misterB 2
MisterC 5
MisterD 2
MisterA 1
MisterB 1
MisterA 2
MisterD 2
MisterA 6

I want Only the first Score of MisterA in a cell
I want Only the second Score of MisterA in a Cell
I Want The Only The Seconf Score of MisterB in a cell

Gr_zaki, might be best if you download Colos program (link below) for displaying XL files and then post what the raw/finished data does/should look like.

i think my question to the board wasn't understood because of the explaination i gave to you. I don't want the best score of the players i want the first score then the second score based on the date the match was taken.

why not just sort the table? Do you have a date field you can use (to indicate the order the scores came in?)

I'm afraid it's still unclear what you want. You could give the expected results with respect to the sample you provided in your original post.

nope this post is not mine
let me explain better the situation

i have a league let's say the english premier league it includes date, teams,RATE and the results in one sheet for example
May 13,2002 Arsenal - Manchester United 1 - 1
i have 1000 results like this of all the teams that the premier league has.

"The rate is a coloum next to the score colum and the number of rate of each team for each match goes with a type based on my critiria..."

Now i want in a seperate sheet to have the team name and the RATE that the took get from the begining of the season up to now lets say it played 9 matches and in the first it took 5 in the second 3 in the third 0 and so on...
i want the procedure to be automated for all the teams of this league that's way i am searching for the type...
