what is the syntax to sum textbox values? I have several textboxes that contain numeric values and when I use the syntax sum(txtbox1.value+txtbox2.value...) i am getting a concatenation not a sum.

thanks

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
I came on here ready to ask the same question, no matter what you put in:

.value,
.text,
It still doesn't like it

Can any one help please?

Thanks

Hi gdspeare

I have the answer. Try typing in the code, which will insert it to where ever you need it to; here i have inserted it into label1:

label1 = Val(textbox1.value) + Val(textbox2.value)...etc

Instead of:

sum(txtbox1.value+txtbox2.value...)

Hope this helps
