Start End Task Total
8:45 AM 9:22 AM Letters for hourly recruiting 0:37
10:03 AM 11:19 AM Letters for hourly recruiting 1:16
12:54 PM 1:05 PM Letters for hourly recruiting 0:11
1:25 PM 2:21 PM Letters for hourly recruiting 0:56
12:50 PM 12:57 PM phone #'s 0:07
I am required to track my time the above is an example of what part of my sheet looks like. I can not get the total time to =3 hrs 7 mins

The times are from different days. Can anyone help me with this?
 

Excel Facts

[h]:mm From the custom part of Format cells

Have you tried the format above. It seems to work for me in excel, though I can't get it to work in access, where I really want it!

Apply SUM to the total range:

=SUM(TotalRange)

and custom format the formula cell as [h]:mm

The individual times can be obtained using...

=End - Start + (End < Start)

Replace Start and End with the appropriate cell addresses.
