# Sum totals of amounts within a date Range by category

I have a data base with dates in column C, Category in column G, and Amounts in column R. On a sheet2 I have the start date in B2 and end date in B3 and in Column A I have the category names. In column B, I want to get the totals from column G (sheet 1) for rows within the date range and match the category name. This is for my Cub Scout Finances. Thank you for any help.

Sheet 2:
 1Beg Date 6/13/18 2End Date 6/12/19 3 2018-2019 4 5 6 7 8Camp Card Income \$ - 9Donation Income \$ - 10Popcorn Income \$ - 11Honey Income \$ - 12Total Income \$ -

Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.

Hi,

You may Also have to Change the "Category" names in Sheet1 and/or Sheet2 to match each other:

B8 formula copied down to B11
