Having difficulties hoping someone help

Trying to sum downtime values

Table with multiple data, names in column E , downtime ( in mins) in column M, list of names for vlookup in column Q to lookup against .

I've got =SUM(VLOOKUP(Q2,$E:$M,9,False) , but not pulling values through. Also need some form of ISERROR to ignore any non numeric values in column M.

Also tried

=SUMIF($E:$E, $Q2,$M:$M)

And

=SUM(SUMIF($E:$E, $Q2,$M:$M))

Using Excel 97 ( works version )

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Hi ,

=SUMIF($E:$E, $Q2,$Y:$Y) works . Realised that was character before values , resolved by extracting VALUES in Y column . Just now need ISERROR command to ignore non numeric values
