Hi Guys,

Can anybody help me with this

I have Sheet 1 , Column C Dates which range 01-01-2017 to 30-09-2020 DD-MM-YYYY and I have Sheet 1, Colum K which is Total Values.

My Sheet 2, has rows which are represented by each month A2=Jan2017, A3= Feb2017 through to A46=Sept2020

What I want to do is to apply a date range on Sheet2 in B2 (all dates => 01-01-2017 & =< 31-01-2017) sum the corresponding values found from Column K in Sheet 1.

Apologies for being dense here but is a very long time since I have used Excel and would great appreciate if anyone can give me the formuls.

Thanks in Advance

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.

Assuming A2 is a date (01/01/2017)

=SUMIFS(Sheet1!K:K,Sheet1!A:A,">="&Sheet2!A2,Sheet1!A:A,"<="&EOMONTH(Sheet2!A2,0))
