I am using the function:

=SUMIF(F5:F233,"Cars",H5:H233)

which is working fine.

However, H5:H233 are both positive and negative £ figures. I need to return 2 separate values in 2 different cells to show positive and negative totals separately.

This is probablly quite simple, but it's baffling me.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
Try:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(F5:F233="Cars"),--(H5:H233>0),H5:H233)
=SUMPRODUCT(--(F5:F233="Cars"),--(H5:H233<0),H5:H233)
