SumIf number Format

Is there a solution to SUM only those cells that only match a currency format?

The column will conatin phone numbers with or without dashes and amounts.
###-###-####
##########
####.##

I can reformat the column to #.## but if for some dumb reason the ph# is not in standard format the some get's rather large.

Is there anything that categorically denotes what is a phone number and what is currency?

It's impossible to tell from your initial post.

I thought to maybe use another cells contents to decide what to sum and what not to sum, but there will not always be a charge code or transaction date associated with the $$$.

but, could I use the length of the data in the cell as the criteria? if LEN of I:I less than 10 then sum what is left.

Phone numbers will always be a min of 10 digits whether there are any "-" or not.

I can't seem to get the format correct for =sumif("i:i",Len("i:i"),"i:i"

Thanks for your assistance Matty. Unfortunately, using someone else's reports never seems to have the desired outcome. Because of the inconsistency of the phone number format in this column and partial dates being tossed in this has turned into a small nightmare.

Any idea how I can stick this into VBA? Seems I have to use FormulaArray, but that will only work if I put it in a cell selection? Can I not evaluate it in a variable?
