Hi Everybody!
I'm trying to get a sum of an event. My formula looks fine although results are always "0". I think I need tips on how to use SUMIF when criteria is a word. Here is a picture of my data. I have looked at the Microsoft Help and based on that I can not figure out why I am not getting a number. Can anybody explain how to get the SUMIF to work for me?
I'm using Home & Student 2019 and I made sure it was updated as well.

Thanks everybody!

I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)

Try
Excel Formula:
=sumif(B573:B592,"*Corvus*",C573:C592)
