SUMIFS & AND Function

Hi everyone,
I have a condition that I want to use sumifs with and funtion.
Ex: The dropdown list (A2) is A, sumifs criteria of "123" and "456"

I have tried separate the criteria to 2, "sumifs(X:X,A2,"123",A2,"456) but does not work. Please advised and I appreciate your help!

Your description isn't clear, but I'm guessing you want to sum
Column X, if column A is 123 or 456

Try

=SUM(SUMIF(A:A,{"123","456"},X:X))

Sorry, It does not work. I have multiples criteria, so I will need sumifs. One of the criteria within sumifs has the condition above and yes, column X is the sum range.

It's still not clear, can you give a more detailed description?

I want to sum column ??
If Column ?? = ??
AND
If Column ?? = ??

If A2 = A, sumifs(X:X,D:D,"123""456") --> this is what I have in mine.

So, if cell = A2, when A2(drop down list) is A, I want to sum in column X with cell that contains "123" and "456" in column D.

=IF(A2="A",SUM(SUMIF(D:D,{"123","456"},X:X)),"")

Yes, it works! I have multiples criteria, so I incorporate the sum(sumifs(...), the trick is the {} sysmbol! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

You didn't post multiple criteria.
You described 2 criteria 'On The Same Column', that's really 1 set of criteria (and it's an OR not an AND)
