SUMIFS and IFERROR

Hi there, does anyone know why my field is populating with a "0" instead of a "-" if there is no data?

=IFERROR(SUMIFS('PGI Data'!$G:$G,'PGI Data'!$A:$A,$P1,'PGI Data'!$M:$M,$L1,'PGI Data'!$D:$D,"<="&DATE(2011,7,22),'PGI Data'!$N:$N,I42),"-")

If works with my INDEX MATCH formula in another cell.
=IFERROR(INDEX(Data!$T$2:$T$6846,MATCH(1,INDEX((Data!$B$2:$B$6846=$L$1)*(Data!$U$2:$U$7159=$P$1)*(Data!$A$2:$A$6846=I42),0),0),),"-")

Apparently the SUMIFS is returning 0. 0 is not an error.

If you don't want the 0 and would rather have the "-" then you'd have to do something like this...

=IF(SUMIFS(...),SUMIFS(...),"-")
